The best adventures never end, they are just to be continued...

...and so we continue on this amazing journey called life, this time from the other side of the planet: Singapore. After six months we finally got everything sorted here, and yes the dog made the 26 hour flight, in the cabin--most of that time spent out of his carrier and on my lap or the seat next to me...thank you Delta flight attendants for not "seeing" him, he appreciated it more than you know:)

I am not sure what I expected of Singapore. I had only spent three days here before making the decision to call this place home, but it has been quite an experience so far. Of all the questions I get from people back in the states about Singapore, there are two inquiries I hear the most: What's the weather like over there? What do you eat? Now, this could be because we have nothing more interesting to talk about so we fill the air with me saying, today is 92 and sunny/cloudy, tomorrow it will be 92 and sunny/cloudy...we live on the equator so everyday is 92 and sunny/cloudy. Not sure how I feel about the absence of seasons but there is something kind of nice about getting dressed on the patio or swimming in the pool at 7AM in January, so we'll see how it goes.
As for the food, well...what a long, strange trip that has been. Getting a bite to eat is always an adventure and I will post more about Singapore's culinary offerings (Frog Leg Porridge, Chili Crab, Nasi Lemak, etc.) in later posts.

Now, regarding the number one reason for moving to Singapore (the travel) we have four confirmed trips in 2013

Bali, Indonesia -- April 18-23

Malacca, Malaysia -- May 24-28

Boracay / Manila, Philippines -- Aug 8-13

Cambodia / Thailand -- December

The goal is to take 6 trips per year so we are thinking to add Vietnam, Myanmar, Maldives...

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more cool pics, food, and stories as the adventure continues from Southeast Asia...
